Every few months a new acronym arrives and the advice is the same: rewrite everything. GEO — getting cited by answer engines — is the current one.
The unit changed, not the job
A search engine ranks a page. An answer engine quotes a passage. So the page still has to be worth ranking, it just also has to contain sentences that survive being lifted out of it.
That is a formatting concern, not a strategy concern:
- Answer the question in the first sentence of the section.
- Keep the claim and its evidence in the same paragraph.
- Put numbers in the sentence, not only in a chart.
What does not work
Stuffing an FAQ block at the bottom of a thin page. Answer engines are reading the same page a reader would; a page nobody would quote does not get quoted.
This post has no Spanish translation
Deliberately. It is here so the blog can prove that a post existing in one language only still emits honest hreflang — it advertises English and nothing else, instead of pointing at a Spanish URL that would 404.
